Podcasts which have transformed my ride to work ...

Listening to podcasts during the drive to work has transformed my life. Instead of dreading the 40 to 50 minute drive through congested traffic, I now eagerly look forward to both the trip to work and from work.

The 3 podcasts below I cannot recommend enough - sound, gospel based content which are encouraging yet still tackle the hard conversations of life.

Journey Women
"Life's a journey we were never meant to walk alone. We all need friends along the way" ... these are the words that open Hunter's podcast. When I am listening to these podcasts I feel I am in the company of friends! Hunter has an amazing gift for sounding at total ease on the air and conversations flows effortlessly between both host and guest. The podcast notes contain resources which I cannot wait to get home and access at the end of each day.  My recent favourite on this podcast is episode 54 Joy with Melissa B Kruger.

Favourite quote:  "Comparison is a pervasive stealer of joy"

Favourite resource:  In all things (a study on joy)

Revive Our Hearts

Grow in your love for the Word and the Lord Jesus as you listen to Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. Talks on this podcast really make you ponder your life walk - encouraging, inspiring and interesting. Content is gospel centre and women from all seasons of life can relate to these programs. I am currently listening to the 'Genesis of Gender' which deals with the differences between the sexes, why these differences exist and how to navigate your way through the modern day gender jungle.Visit Revive Our Hearts website which contains plenty of resources.

Set Apart Girl

Not for the faint hearted - Leslie Ludy is not afraid to have those hard conversations ... I have been deeply challenged to scrutinise how I am living my life! Do not let the 'girl' description put you off - this is for all women. I would have so benefited from these talks when I was a young woman - if you are a Mother with daughters I highly recommend you encourage them to listen to this podcast. The website also contains great resources. What I really appreciate about these podcasts is the practical advice Leslie provides with each topic. Favourite episode: Consumer Drive Christianity.

Favourite resource: The Set-Apart Woman:God's Invitation to sacred living (Book) - highly recommended.
